EPAL donates UNICEF School-in-a-Box Kits, contributing to one of the most fundamental human rights: Children’s Education.

Feb 11, 2022

Unicef kits 2022EPAL has donated 20 School-in-a-Box Kits within the scope of UNICEF's “Inspired Gifts” initiative, through which any person or organisation can donate essential goods and equipment.

This initiative is part of the realisation of EPAL's Social Responsibility values and aims to help create conditions that improve access to teaching and education.

The School-in-a-Box Kit allows the setting up of a classroom for up to 40 students and a teacher in minutes, anywhere in the world, and is widely used in emergency situations. Each Kit contains notebooks, pens, pencils, blackboards, chalk, educational posters, an inflatable globe, markers, scissors, glue, rulers, set squares, erasers, sharpeners and a solar radio.

UNICEF is funded exclusively by voluntary contributions from governments, foundations, companies and individual donors. Over 70 years old, it works in more than 190 countries and territories to improve the conditions of children, with child survival, protection and development being universal essentials of human progress.

With the donations it receives and the actions it carries out on the ground, this organisation seeks to support every child in developing and realising their full potential. It works with several partners to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which constitute the new global agenda for realising the vision of peace and social progress enshrined in the United Nations Convention, seeking to promote prosperity and well-being for all in its more diverse domains.

This gift from EPAL, which is part of SDG 4 - Quality Education, will make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children who will benefit from this Gift for Life.
