Lisboa E-Nova, EPAL and Águas do Tejo Atlântico launch a photography competition on World Water Day
Lisbon, 22nd March 2022 – To mark World Water Day, Lisboa E-Nova, EPAL and Águas do Tejo Atlântico, with the support of Gerador (an independent Portuguese platform for journalism, culture and education), have launched the WATER AND SUSTAINABILITY photography competition.
The competition is aimed at highlighting the importance of this natural resource and to draw attention to the sustainability of the water cycle – from its capture to its use, treatment and reuse.
Public awareness of this resource’s value in all its forms takes on greater significance given the climate change, prolonged droughts and water scarcity that Portugal is experiencing.
The three competitors who best respond to the challenge will receive FNAC Gift Cards. The competition jury will also select the 10 best photographs that will be part of the final exhibition. The prizes will be presented in Lisbon on World Environment Day on 5th June, at a location to be announced.
The competition
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Portugal. Individuals or groups may enter. Each entrant can enter only one photograph.

1st Place: €600 FNAC Gift Card
2nd Place: €400 FNAC Gift Card
3rd Place: €200 FNAC Gift Card

Deliberations by the jury: by 6th May 2022
Notification of results: by 13th May 2022
Winners announced: by 20th May 2022
Presentation of prizes: 5th June 2022, World Environment Day
